MIRC CHAT!

Okay, I had some people asking about setting up an IRC chat channel and I checked into it. I got some information on it. And, I got a channel/room whatever set up. Its on Dalnet Server? not sure if you need to know that or not. And the channel name is NarutoJunkiesLive.

Now, to use this you have to download MIRC, from MIRC.com its very easy and free. Well techniquely its free for 30, then you are supposed to pay for it, but the catch is after the 30 days it doesn't actually quit working so....why pay for it?? Anyway, I think there is a way you can set a client to where you don't have to download MIRC...but that is also something you have to pay for... and seeing how this forum is a non-profit organization and I am a broke ass monkey. This is the only way to do this.

So if you would like to chat with people from this forum in our own little space, download MIRC, go to Dalnet Server, type in NarutoJunkiesLive for the Channel and there ya go.

Probably just no one there, wed and thursday are my days off from work so I usually don't get online much...other than that I will be in the chat from like 3-11 every night.. central time. ^_^

If some of you don't know what the is...its a little thing that spits out questions.... its gives you hints.. and you can answer them and you get points...its fun.. and something to do ^_^ There are anime questions and general stuff so something for everyone. Hooray for the mIRC!! You are in fact a saint Nancy! I'll see if I can't find some more people to hang out with us on there. Like Kane and Monica and such, even if they aren't Nartuo crackheads like the rest of us!

First question.. no the trivia bot is not there all the time, I have to be logged in to run it...I am going to get Mike to set it up too, so he can run it when I am not on.. since I am on a laptop and shut it down, pack it up all the time...he will probably run it for me most of the time if he is willing too! (He has already said he would soooo... yeah) Thanks again mike) I just have to tell him how to set it up, and give him the questions. I will try and to that today. I'm way stoked about this mIRC room, too. I logged on last night and chatted up Justin and Monica for a bit and in the process remembered why I got so addicted to irc chat in the first place! It was like coming home. I just need to see if anyone is still hosting a VtM rpg room. *rubs her hands together eagerly* I mIRC!

Ya know, I was wondering if anyone still hung out in the channel. I'll start coming back. I usually get off work about the time I used to wake up, so it shouldn't be a problem to meet up with you guys. I still want to kick Jak's ass in the trivia. It makes me very unhappy to think that I left him in the #1 spot.

I go in from time to time, no ones ever there. Its too much of a hassle to open it up and join so i stopped ^_^

It is, I dont feel like re-downloading it so i get that pop up, then it takes forever to get to the main menu. It takes at least 2 mins. Thats just too much if no one is going to be there.

The MRIC chat has kinda died.. it never really became very popular... if enough people tell me they would like it up and running I will set it up again... till then.... its staying DED.

Once I get my LAPTOP!!! I'll be getting on the chat alot more there ms. Nan! So, don't totally kill it. With Mel and Jak not around maybe I can win at the triviabot!

And, I have but one condition: I get OP status if Jak does! Because, I'm sure I wouldn't last a second without it. =P

yeah we will have to see about it.. I don't remember exactly how to set it up and sit.. and I don't remember what trivia bot we fucking had either.. but I suppose I can check into it again if ya'll want

I really enjoyed it, but I had a whole lot more free time when we first gathered in there. I might not be able to show up often, or at least not at the times that other people would probably be on, but I'd totally hang out every chance I got. And, I'll help you get it up and running again. Just let me know what I can do!
