I'm not really sure where to start. These books (all 4 of them) are awesome. I could not put them down. Really I read all 4 in a matter of one week. And the last one is over 700 pages. LOL.

I really wish she would continue the story. I know she (Stephenie Meyer) is supposed to be writing a new book Midnight Sun, that is like Twilight but from Edward's perspective I have read the first chapter that she has posted and like the other books this one is going to good as well.

Anyways, ...

The Wheel of Time novels

I think the Wheel of Time novels are my all time favorite fantasy novels. They were written extremely well and they weren't predictable. Robert Jordan is a genius. I also found it interesting that he actually wrote the end of the entire series first and then started at the beginning. The first novel is written so that you feel as if you're running from the dark friends with the characters. From there you're pretty much hooked and it keeps getting better and better. All the characters change gradually ...

...is reading Laurell K. Hamilton novels. They are, by no means, literary masterpieces, but they're damned fun and super easy to fly through! She has two series that are running at the moment.

One is the Anita Blake series. Wikipedia sums up the genre thusly: "The initial Anita Blake novels were usually classified as crime fiction, alternate history (a subset of science fiction), fantasy, or horror." But, as the series progresses, it gets pretty steamy and sometimes they're referred ...

This is a topic where you can discuss your favorite books and stories. Who knows, maybe alot of members share your likes, and you can start a topic dedicated to your story! Anyways, on with the show.

I'll start with one of my favorite stories from school, which spawned my obsession with it's author, and that's The Pit and The Pendulum, by Edgar Allen Poe

It was a great thriller, with too many twists to count. Considered by many to be one of the Horror classics. It is a story about ...

This is to discuss the Expanded Universe of Star Wars. For some reason, SW books are the only books I can read and finish in a week. Everything else I just find boring, except for HP. The first one I read was the Boba Fett scholastic series, which kicked so much ass. So far my favorite book has been Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. Sadly there aren't many books that take place between the trilogies, which is my favorite time period. I still want to see a book on the transformation of skittle ...

So, I'm sitting here reading the last Harry Potter novel, Deathly Hallows, and I'm kinda curious if anyone is reading it as well, or am I just a nerd. I also figured I'd start a thread were we could discuss the Harry Potter books in more detail, because I enjoy them, and thats all that matters.
